Bloomington Indiana Chapter IMA Scholarships "Student Participation is the Key"

The Bloomington IMA Chapter Board has authorized up to two $250 student scholarships this next Chapter year based on student participation in IMA activities.  Proof of education expense (book, tuition and fees) is required and no scholarship may exceed proven educational expenses.  Scholarship awards will be determined as follows:

- The scholarship awards will be determined after April 30th and before May 15 of each year

-The scholarship awards for this Chapter year will be determined on the basis of points earned by scholarship candidates during the period June 1, 2008 and April 30, 2009

-The points earned by candidates will be based on he following criteria:
Activity                                                                      Points
Membership in IMA                                        5/member
Attendance at monthly meetings*          2/meeting
*(Technical and/or Video)
A chapter board member                         2/board meeting attended
A manuscript or student case                5/manuscript or case
Attendance at other IMA activities      2/activity
Obtain publicity for IMA                           1/public relation item
                              



At the end of April 2009, the Chapter Scholarship Committee will review the points accumulated per individual and make their scholarship recommendations to the Chapter Board for approval at their regular May 2009 meeting.  The scholarship awards will be announced at the May 2009 Chapter meeting, published in the June 2009 newsletter and distributed to the receipients as soon as practical.

Students interested in participating in the Program must complete an application form by December 31st of each year.  For the 2005/2007 Chapter year, the application form must be received by December 31, 2008.  For additional information, contact Jerome C.
